Sunday, August 25th I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to make my first mark in Los Angeles with the launch of my workshop, Clubhouse Sessions. The mission of this workshop is to organically develop artists (and entrepreneurs) through peer mentorship, inspired by an event put together by my former team, Dinner Land Network, in 2018.
Initially, the idea was to invite creatives to our workspace in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, to pull up with their current projects and spend a few hours around their creative peers, to knock out work. However this event's turnout was unsuccessful. After the failure of this event, it sparked an idea within me to turn this into a development session, an invitation-only "club" for artists. I won't share too many details about the structure of the workshop, but fast-forward one year, and many, many failed pitches, and I was finally able to see my idea come to life in Los Angeles with the help of the incredible Mint Room Studios team.
Thank you to my amazing partners Chase N. Cashe and Jaz Woods for sponsoring this workshop, and being incredible sources of information to the artists that joined us. And thank you to DJ Chubb E. Swagg for being an amazing resource to draw on for advice as well. Special thank you to Six Sev and Kosher Kris for trusting me with their time and artistry. This moment will always be so dear to my heart, and I so deeply appreciate you all for helping me turn my vision to a reality. Cheers to 2020.
Stay tuned for more updates and the next Clubhouse Session.
